Kolkata, Sept. 1 -- Trinamool Congress national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee appeared before the Shakespeare Sarani police on Tuesday in connection with the violence at the party's Camac Street office last week, and launched a sharp attack on the BJP after emerging from the police station following nearly five-and-a-half hours of questioning.
Banerjee entered the police station around 12.17pm after being summoned in connection with the incident involving the removal of a Trinamool Congress billboard from the party office.
A group of TMC supporters gathered outside the police station ahead of his arrival and raised slogans alleging that a conspiracy was being hatched against the party leader.
