New Delhi, Sept. 3 -- Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Abhishek Banerjee on Thursday alleged that armed BJP workers attacked the party's office on Camac Street in Kolkata around 4.30 am, vandalising the premises, assaulting people and damaging electronic equipment, while questioning the alleged delay in police response.

In a post on his WhatsApp channel, Banerjee termed the incident a "disgraceful assault on the rule of law" and alleged that a group of BJP workers armed with weapons forcibly entered the party office in the early hours.
