Kolkata, Aug. 10 -- Trinamool Congress national general secretary and Lok Sabha MP Abhishek Banerjee launched a scathing attack on the West Bengal government and BJP leadership over the attack on party supremo Mamata Banerjee's convoy in Halisahar on Sunday, alleging that the incident could not have taken place without administrative backing.
Speaking from the Parliament complex in Delhi on Monday, Abhishek alleged that the government's objective was to eliminate the Opposition from Bengal.
He also claimed that such an incident could not have occurred without the support of the Prime Minister and union Home Minister.
