Siliguri, Aug. 10 -- Two days after small tea grower Dipankar Gope was allegedly abducted by Bangladeshi miscreants from a border area in Rajganj, he remained in Bangladesh on Monday, even as repeated flag meetings between the Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) failed to secure his return.
Apprehensive about Dipankar's safety, the family and the Confederation of Indian Small Tea Growers' Associations (CISTA) have sought the intervention of union Home Minister Amit Shah to bring him back.
