New Delhi, Jan. 3 -- One of India's most promising Chess prodigy- 10 year old Aarit Kapil lived up to his reputation as he bagged the Delhi State Under 15 Chess Championship 2026 crown on Saturday here.
Aarit emerged victorious with seven points, scoring 38.5(TB1), 42.5(TB2) and 36.5(TB3), he was followed by Mehul Sondhi in Rank 2. Mehul also scored seven points garnering 37(TB1), 40(TB2) and 34.5(TB3).
Dhruv Gupta was third scoring 6.5 points garnering 37(TB1), 41(TB2) and 31.75(TB3).
The Championship format involved a total of 8 rounds with time control of 30 Minutes 30 Seconds Increment from move 1.
The two day event was hosted at ShreeRam World School, Dwarka.
