New Delhi, April 2 -- The Aam Aadmi Party has alleged a systematic crackdown on its leaders and workers in Gujarat ahead of upcoming local body elections, claiming that multiple FIRs and arrests have been carried out in recent months.

In a letter addressed to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal flagged what he described as a coordinated attempt to weaken the party's presence in the state. He has also sought an urgent meeting with the Chief Minister, along with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
