Mumbai, May 26 -- Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader and MLA Aaditya Thackeray has sounded a strong note of caution for his party cadre regarding the Election Commission's ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, warning that any complacency could lead to a large-scale deletion of voters similar to what has been witnessed in states like Bihar and West Bengal.

Addressing a high-level meeting of former municipal corporators, regional heads (Vibhag Pramukhs), and local branch heads (Shakha Pramukhs) at the Shiv Sena Bhavan in Dadar late Monday night, Thackeray instructed party officials to strictly monitor the voter verification drive to prevent potential manipulation of electoral data.
