Chandrapur, Jan. 23 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Friday appealed to the Centre to reject proposed mining projects in the corridor of the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district, warning that they could cause severe and irreversible ecological harm.
In a letter addressed to union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav, Thackeray stated that the projects would be damaging not only to the forest landscape but also to the wildlife dependent on these habitats.
