New Delhi, Sept. 9 -- Aadhaar is witnessing a sharp rise in authentication activity, with the system currently handling around 100 million transactions every day and preparing to scale up to as many as 250-300 million daily, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) Chairman Neelkantha Mishra said at the Global Fintech Festival 2026.
Mishra said the pace of Aadhaar adoption has exceeded expectations, with the number of daily authentications now touching around 10 crore. UIDAI is preparing its technology infrastructure to handle volumes that could rise to 25-30 crore authentications a day.
The number of entities using Aadhaar has also crossed 600, reflecting the expanding role of the digital identity platform across India's economy....
