Chitrakoot, July 23 -- Three youths allegedly gang-raped a NEET student, holding her boyfriend hostage in the Devangana Valley forest, located 12 km from the district headquarters on Wednesday.
The incident occurred at around 3 pm on Wednesday in the Devangana Valley forest.The victim student is a resident of Satna, Madhya Pradesh, adjacent to Chitrakoot. She lives in Kota, Rajasthan, preparing for the NEET exam. Her boyfriend is from Chitrakoot and is a 12th-grade student.
According to police, the 20-year-old student was sitting on a hill with her 17-year-old boyfriend when the accused arrived. They threatened both of them by posing as forest officials.
