Chennai, Oct. 27 -- A month after the killer stampede at Karur, which claimed 41 lives during the rally of actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) President Vijay, the film star today met each and every family of the deceased separately at a hotel near the heritage town Mamallapuram near Chennai on the East Coast Road.
Recovering from the aftermath of the tragedy, Vijay had initially planned to visit the families in and around Karur. But, decided to bring them near Chennai due to logistic issues and the delay in getting police clearance for his proposed visit to Karur. The meeting comes exactly a month after the September 27 stampede.
