Mumbai, April 30 -- A major theft of medicines meant for delivery to a military hospital has come to light in Deolali Camp, sparking serious concern within the administration. Medicines worth rupees 82 lakh, dispatched from Mumbai, never reached the Army hospital as intended.
According to a complaint, a total of 133 boxes containing medical supplies were sent, but the consignment was allegedly diverted before delivery. The stolen stock includes a large quantity of critical medicines such as injections and insulin. The complaint was filed by Subedar Ramrao Shinde.
