New Delhi, March 18 -- Seven persons, including three children, were killed and three others critically injured after a major fire broke out in a building in South West Delhi's Sadh Nagar on Wednesday morning.

A senior fire brigade official said that nine members of a family were trapped inside the house when the fire broke out.

"The fire occurred in a building comprising a basement, ground floor, and four storeys, with a temporary tin shed on the roof. Clothes and cosmetics were stored in the basement, ground, and first floors, while the second and third floors were used as residences," the official said.

The official confirmed that seven persons, including three children, lost their lives in the incident.
