Patna, Nov. 11 -- History was created in the second and final phase of Bihar assembly elections on Tuesday, as a record nearly 69 per cent of the total 3.70 crore electorate exercised its political choice across122 seats in peaceful polling amid foolproof security arrangements.
The fate of 1302 candidates now lies sealed in the electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) after the phase two polls.
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vinod Singh Gunjiyal told media persons here that 68.79 per cent of the eligible voters pressed the EVM button in the peaceful elections, which saw only a few sporadic incidents. No report of violence was received from any part of the state where polling was held, he added.
