Bhatapara (Chhattisgarh), Jan. 22 -- Six workers were killed, and more than ten others sustained serious burn injuries after a powerful explosion ripped through a private steel factory in Chhattisgarh's Balodabazar-Bhatapara district on Thursday morning.
According to police sources, the incident occurred at the Real Ispat Sponge Iron Factory located in Nipania village under the Bhatapara Rural police station area.
The explosion took place at the factory's sponge iron unit and was strong enough to trigger panic across the area, with several workers nearby caught in its impact.
The exact cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained.
