New Delhi, Nov. 8 -- The 5th edition of Assam Rifles Half Marathon will be held on December 14, this year in the picturesque setting of Upper Shillong, where around 3000 runners will be participating from across the country.
The biggest race of its kind in North-East India, the yearly race was started in 2021 by the paramilitary force operating under the Ministry of Home Affairs with the aim of promoting the culture of fitness and camaraderie.
The Half Marathon would see three different races- 5km, 10km and 21km, runners from the age of 12 to 60 years will participate in the race.
The runners will not only be able to showcase their endurance at the most picturesque route of Upper Shillong but also compete for a prize money of Rs 20 lakh....
