Lucknow, Sept. 4 -- Amid heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning and flooding across Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath government's early-warning system and relief and rescue mechanisms have helped avert casualties in the affected areas so far. The Relief Commissioner's Office has sent more than 591 crore weather and flood alerts to people on a large scale, warning them in advance about potential risks and enabling timely evacuation and other precautionary measures.

The extensive alert system, coupled with swift action by the local administration and public awareness, played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of people in vulnerable areas.
