Thane, April 27 -- A total of 59 rural students, selected from nearly 9,500 participants, are getting the opportunity to visit a world-class institution like ISRO.
Through the initiative 'Mission Bharari', launched under the leadership of Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of Thane district, Eknath Shinde, the vision of 'From Rural to Space' is becoming a reality.
This educational tour was flagged off by Shinde on Monday from the District Planning Building in Thane.
The 'Mission Bharari' initiative was inaugurated on January 26. Students were selected through competitive examinations based on the syllabus of Classes 5 to 8. In the first phase, 9,316 students appeared for the exam, out of which 2,007 were selected a...
