Mumbai, May 2 -- Major developments have emerged regarding the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, a scheme designed to support economically vulnerable women in Maharashtra. Confusion and concern have spread among beneficiaries as a significant number of women have been excluded from the scheme following a rigorous verification drive.
54 Lakh Women DisqualifiedFollowing the conclusion of the mandatory e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) process, the state government has updated the beneficiary list. Out of the total registered applicants, approximately 54 lakh women have been deemed ineligible and removed from the scheme.
The Final NumbersTotal Eligible Beneficiaries: 1.89 Crore women.
Disqualified/Removed: 54 Lakh women.
