Pune, June 27 -- After failing to receive Chinese visas despite completing all required travel formalities., 52 pilgrims from Pune who embarked on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra are stranded in the Nepalese capital Kathmandu.

According to the pilgrims, they had all necessary papers including passports, medical certificates, and travel insurance, They had also obtained the mandatory travel permits issued by the Chinese authorities, leading them to believe there would be no obstacles.

However, after reaching Kathmandu as per their scheduled itinerary, they were informed that their Chinese visa applications had not been approved, preventing them from proceeding further into Tibet for the pilgrimage.
