Panchkula, Sept. 19 -- As many as 473 snakebite victims have been treated in Haryana this year with timely administration of anti-snake venom (ASV), while 1,526 such patients have received treatment across the state over the past five years, Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Dr Sumita Misra said on Saturday.
Jhajjar and Ambala have reported the highest number of snakebite cases this year, she said.
Misra said the life-saving anti-snake venom is available free of cost at all Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community Health Centres (CHCs), and Civil Hospitals across Haryana, with stock levels continuously monitored to prevent shortages.
