Pune, May 27 -- A grand 450 kg Meghadambari, Canopy, has been installed at the memorial site of Shrimant Chhatrapati Shahajiraje Bhosale, father of Maratha Emperor Shivaji Maharaj, at Hodigere in Karnataka's Davanagere district to protect the monument in all weather conditions.
The initiative was led by Pune-based Malhar devotee and history lover Dr. Gaurav Bhau Ghode.
Shrimant Chhatrapati Shahajiraje Bhosale, one of the key figures behind the foundation of Hindavi Swarajya, holds an important place in Maratha history.
