Ranchi, June 30 -- All 42 migrant workers from Jharkhand affected by the ammonia gas leak at a seafood processing facility in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvallur district have left for their home state by train, following coordinated efforts by the Jharkhand government, officials said on Tuesday.

The workers were provided a dedicated sleeper coach in the Alappuzha-Dhanbad Express after the state government coordinated with the Railway Board, Southern Railway and the Tamil Nadu authorities, an official release said.

The accident occurred on June 21 at the St. Peter's and Paul's Seafoods Exports facility in Tiruvallur district, where several migrant workers from Jharkhand besides Odisha were affected by an ammonia gas leak.
