Ranchi, Jan. 12 -- On the directions of the Governor of Jharkhand, Santosh Kumar Gangwar, a Blood Donation Camp was organised by the Indian Red Cross Society, Jharkhand State Branch, at Birsa Mandap, Lok Bhavan, Ranchi, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great philosopher and visionary Swami Vivekananda (National Youth Day). A total of 406 people voluntarily donated blood during the camp.

Prior to inaugurating the Blood Donation Camp, the Governor paid floral tribute to the portrait of Swami Vivekananda and offered tribute. On the occasion, he said that the ideals and thoughts of Swami Vivekananda continue to inspire the youth even today, and that service to humanity is the true service to God.
