Jammu, Sept. 18 -- Two persons were arrested after a 35-year-old man was allegedly murdered during a birthday party celebration in the Lower Roopnagar area here.
Police here said on Friday that the incident took place late Thursday night when a group of friends parked their car on the roadside and were celebrating the birthday of Neeraj Kumar alias Anshu, a resident of Nardani, Domana, Jammu.
They smeared cake on Neeraj's face, which triggered an argument among them, following which, in a fit of anger, Neeraj attacked Pawan Kumar of Bari Brahmana, Samba, with a sharp-edged weapon.
Critically injured Pawan was immediately shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital in Jammu, where doctors declared him dead.
