Dharamshala, March 11 -- Police in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh have arrested three persons in separate cases and recovered more than 34 grams of heroin under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Kangra Superintendent of Police Ashok Ratan told UNI that 12.62 grams of chitta (heroin) was recovered on March 10 from the residence of Avinash alias Nikka, a resident of Kholi village in the district.

A case has been registered against him under Sections 21, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act at Kangra Police Station.
