Bhopal, Dec. 30 -- At least three people have died, and more than 35 others are undergoing treatment after allegedly drinking contaminated water in Madhya Pradesh's Indore, officials said on Tuesday.
The incident came to light in the Bhagirathpura area of the city, and many people complained of vomiting, diarrhoea and dehydration after drinking contaminated water, said to have been supplied over the past few days to households through the Narmada River tap connections of the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC).
Indore Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr Madhav Prasad Hassani, at least 32 people from the Bhagirathpura area have been admitted to different hospitals in the city.
