Srinagar, Aug. 29 -- The 2nd edition of the CRPF Football Cup 2025 Srinagar Sector Championship was inaugurated today at the Synthetic Turf TRC Ground in Srinagar marking the start of the football event amid an enthusiastic turnout of players and dignitaries.
The tournament was inaugurated by Inspector General CRPF Srinagar Sector Pawan Kumar Sharma.
Addressing the gathering, Sharma highlighted that Football Cup is being organised on National Sports Day which marks the birth anniversary of the legendary Major Dhyan Chand, widely regarded as the greatest field hockey player of all time.
He said that in the 2nd Edition CRPF Football Cup 2025, an opportunity has been provided to U-23 players to showcase their talent.
