Imphal, Sept. 7 -- A coalition of 29 civil society organisations in Manipur has called on the union and state governments to abrogate the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreements with the Kuki National Organisation (KNO) and the United People's Front (UPF), alleging that armed cadres operating under the pacts have been involved in continued violence and criminal activity.

The demand has been formalised in a "Joint Resolution" adopted between August 30 and September 5, and announced during the press conference in Imphal on Monday.
