Bhabua, Sept. 11 -- The local police recovered 28 cattle from a container and arrested three cattle smugglers in Durgawati police station area in Kaimur district.
Police said here on Friday that the police received a tip-off that cattle were being illegally transported from the Aurangabad side in a container after being tied up in a cruel manner. Following directions from the Superintendent of Police, a raiding team was constituted under the leadership of the Durgawati police station in-charge to verify the information and take necessary action.
The team swiftly launched vehicle checks near the Didkhili toll plaza. During the operation, police intercepted the container and conducted a search.
