Patna, Sept. 2 -- In view of rising water levels in rivers following heavy rainfall in neighbouring states and the release of water from the Bansagar Barrage and Indrapuri Reservoir, Patna District Magistrate Kundan Kumar on Wednesday directed all concerned officials to remain alert and ensure all necessary preparations to deal with a possible flood situation.
The District Magistrate directed executive engineers of the Sone Flood Protection Division, Khagaul; Ganga-Sone Flood Protection Division, Digha; Punpun Flood Protection Divisions at Anisabad and Patna City; and the Flood Control Sub-Division at Bakhtiyarpur to keep adequate quantities of flood-fighting materials, including EC bags, nylon crates, tractors and generators, near vulnera...
