21 ruling MLAs received luxury cars from contractor: Congress

Buldhana, Oct. 25 -- Maharashtra Congress State President Harshwardhan Sapkal has alleged that a major contractor has gifted luxury Defender cars worth several crores to 21 MLAs belonging to the ruling alliance in the state.

Speaking to reporters during his Diwali visit to Buldhana on Friday, Sapkal claimed that the gifting of high-end vehicles has become a symbol of growing corruption in the state. "Twenty-one MLAs of the ruling alliance have received Defender carsfrom a contractor. Very soon, Maharashtra will know who these MLAs are and who the contractor is," he said.

Sapkal said the identities of the contractor and the legislators involved would be disclosed soon.
