Kolhapur, Oct. 31 -- District Sessions (3) Judge S S Tambe today sentenced an accused man to twenty years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 1000 for the sexual assault and forcible rape of a minor girl. The crime occurred in the Kagal tehsil of the district between October and November 2016.
According to Public Prosecutor Amita Kulkarni, the accused, identified as Pradip Vasant Hegde (27) of Kasba Sangav in Kagal tehsil, first sexually assaulted the girl after calling her from her school.
