Gondia, Nov. 27 -- : Two persons were killed and seven others injured when a car rammed into a stationary container on the National Highway (NH-53) near Nainpur-Duggipar on Thursday morning, police said.
The accident occurred around 7 a.m. when THE car travelling from Nagpur towards Raipur crashed into a parked container positioned along the roadside near Kohmara.
According to preliminary reports, the driver is suspected to have dozed off, causing the vehicle to lose control before the impact. The car was severely mangled in the collision.
The deceased were identified as Drona Naresh Sahu and Devendra Katlam, both 25, residents of Patan Barbaspur in Chhattisgarh's Durg district.
