Palghar, Aug. 12 -- A 19-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by six men after she was forcibly taken to an abandoned dak bungalow in Maharashtra's Palghar district, police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place within the jurisdiction of Talasari police station and came to light after the survivor lodged a complaint with the police.
A case has been registered against six persons under Section 70(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
According to the complaint, the woman had gone out on a motorcycle with a male friend. While they were near Khamgaon, their motorcycle reportedly skidded and both fell on the road.
