Dimapur, Oct. 13 -- A total of 19 houses were burned, and 21 others were vandalised in the recent clash between two communities under Pungro sub-division of Kiphire district, according toa comprehensive damage assessment report released by the Kiphire district administration on Tuesday.
The district administration, led by Pungro ADC Hotolu Sema, along with police personnel, president and representatives of the Pungro Area Public Forum, visited violence-hit Zaonger village in the district on Monday for a comprehensive assessment of the damage caused by the recent tribal conflict and to facilitate documentation and safe collection of personal belongings of displaced persons.
