Hyderabad, Nov. 3 -- : As many as 19 people, including the drivers of both vehicles, 12 women, and a 10-month-old baby, were killed and several others injured, some critically, when a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) bus collided with a gravel-laden tipper lorry on the Hyderabad-Bijapur National Highway near Mirzaguda in Chevella mandal of Rangareddy district on Monday morning.
The impact of the collision was so severe that the front portion of the bus was completely mangled, Additional DGP (Law and Order) Mahesh M. Bhagwat said, who visited the accident site and briefed the media.
