New Delhi, Sept. 11 -- In a bid to make the trans-Yamuna region commuter friendly, reduce congestion and improve the last mile connectivity, eighteen bus routes have been identified for rationalization with the technical support from IIT Delhi.

The initiative is being steered by Delhi's Transport Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh, which is aimed to strengthen integration with metro stations and key industrial hubs.

This route rationalization has been strategically designed to extend bus services to maximum uncovered areas, bringing relief to several localities that were previously less connected, and also touching over a thousand bus stops, thereby ensuring inclusive and accessible public transport for all.
