Mumbai, March 18 -- Government and semi-government employees across Maharashtra, along with teachers, have decided to launch an indefinite strike starting April 21, 2026, demanding implementation of the revised National Pension Scheme and resolution of several pending issues. The proposed agitation is expected to see participation from nearly 17 lakh employees across the state.

According to the sources, the coordination committee has formally informed the state government about the decision.
