Buldhana, Nov. 8 -- As many as 1,633 police personnel in Maharashtra's Buldhana district have been issued notices by the Income Tax Department for submitting improper income tax returns (ITRs), officials confirmed on Friday.
According to a wireless message sent by the Buldhana Superintendent of Police on November 6, the Assistant Income Tax Commissioner (INV), Nagpur, had issued a letter on October 23 following an income tax survey. The survey revealed irregularities in the ITR filed by a local police officer, Vishnu Mule.
