Imphal, March 23 -- Manipur Police arrested 15 militants in two separate operations.
In a major crackdown on insurgent activities, Manipur Police yesterday arrested 14 cadres of a proscribed outfit from the Haokhong area under Nongpok Sekmai Police Station in Thoubal district.
Police on Monday said the arrested individuals belong to different districts across the state.
A significant cache of arms, ammunition, and other materials was seized from their possession.
The recovered items include two INSAS rifles, eight INSAS LMG magazines, five INSAS rifle magazines, 100 rounds of INSAS ammunition, Rs. 1 lakh in cash, 12 mobile phones, five helmets, five backpacks, and four four-wheeler vehicles.
