Imphal, March 28 -- Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Saturday attended a one-day State-level workshop on the Vibrant Villages Programme-II held at Sangai Hall of Hotel Imphal.
Organised by the Planning Department, Government of Manipur, the workshop focused on the development of border villages and enhancing coordination among departments and agencies.
Deliberations centred on strategies, challenges and effective implementation of the programme in the State.
Addressing the participants, the Chief Minister said the Vibrant Villages Programme-II, an initiative of the Government of India, aims to boost infrastructure, livelihood opportunities and delivery of basic services in villages located along international borders.
