Agartala, Aug. 21 -- Tripura police have initiated an investigation into two separate clashes that occurred during football matches in Kamalasagar and Khumulung in Sepahijala district on Thursday, which left at least 14 people injured.

In the Kamalasagar incident, a football tournament at a school ground in the Miyapara area turned violent following an argument between players from Miyapara and Matinagar, which escalated into a physical clash.

The dispute, which originated during the match, intensified as supporters and spectators from both sides became involved, creating a volatile situation and causing panic among spectators and residents.
