Gadwal (Telangana), Dec. 2 -- Thirteen students fell ill after reportedly eating contaminated food at a Scheduled Caste hostel in Gadwal district headquarters on Tuesday.
The students were rushed to a local government hospital, where doctors confirmed that all of them are in stable condition.
According to officials, the students had breakfast at the hostel before leaving for school. Within half an hour, several of them began vomiting and were immediately taken for medical care.
The students later told staff that they had found worms in the upma served in the morning and had informed the warden, who discarded the dish. They then ate bananas and biscuits before heading to school.
