Jaipur, July 6 -- The 125th birth anniversary of the Jansangh ideologue cum founder Shyama Prasad Mookerjee was celebrated in Rajasthan on Monday with fervour and resolve. The state government has decided to set up parks and establish memorials in his name.
A number of programmes were organised in the state to mark the day.
In Jaipur, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma paid floral tributes at a ceremony held at his residence in the Civil Lines. Sharma recalled Mookerjee's ideals and contributions in the making of the party and evolution of its ideological base.
