Nagpur, June 20 -- : At least 12 NEET-UG aspirants from different parts of the country have allegedly died by suicide during the 37-day period between the cancellation of the original NEET-UG 2026 examination and the re-examination scheduled for June 21, raising fresh concerns over the mental health impact of high-stakes competitive examinations.
The re-examination was ordered after the National Testing Agency (NTA) cancelled the May 3 examination following the alleged paper leak controversy. According to reports, all 12 students who died were expected to appear for the June 21 re-test.
The reported deaths occurred across several states, including Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Uttarak...
