Chandigarh, Nov. 11 -- Polling is underway for the Tarn Taran Assembly by-election in Punjab, with voter enthusiasm visible since early morning.
Voting began at 7 am and will continue until 6 pm. According to election officials, around 11 percent turnout was recorded by 9 am.
Among the early voters was 70-year-old Amarjit Kaur, who arrived at her polling booth soon after voting began. Major party candidates Congress nominee Karanbir Singh Burj, Shiromani Akali Dal's Sukhwinder Kaur, and Aam Aadmi Party's Harmit Singh Sidhu also exercised their franchise along with family members.
