Lucknow, Sept. 7 -- On the first day of the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) conducted for Group 'C' recruitments in Uttar Pradesh, authorities arrested 10 impersonators, commonly referred to as 'solvers', who were caught appearing in place of the actual candidates.

The arrests were made in Lucknow, Prayagraj, Saharanpur, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Jhansi, Mathura, Aligarh, Kanpur Nagar, Ghaziabad, and Sant Ravidas Nagar.

Strict surveillance measures were enforced by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) and district administrations on the second day of the exam as well.
