Vancouver, Feb. 11 -- As many as 10 people, including the suspected shooter, have died in a mass shooting at a high school and a nearby residence in Tumbler Ridge, in the province of British Columbia, Canadian authorities said on Tuesday.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said officers responded to reports of an active shooter at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School around 1:20 pm local time. Six people were found dead inside the school, another died on the way to the hospital, and two additional victims were discovered at a residence believed to be connected to the incident.
The suspected shooter was also found dead, apparently from a self-inflicted injury, the RCMP said. Authorities confirmed there are no other suspects at large.
