Agartala, Sept. 10 -- The Tripura State Election Commission (SEC) announced that a total of 10,889 nomination papers filed by candidates for the upcoming Village Committee elections under Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) have been found valid after scrutiny.
The Village Committee elections are scheduled to take place on September 28, and the process of filing nominations began on September 1, with September 8 being the final date for submission.
According to the SEC, a total of 10,958 nomination papers were received from 10,936 candidates by the deadline, and after conducting scrutiny, 10,889 nominations filed by 10,889 candidates were found to be valid.
